Help - Second Pc slow via wireless

Hi Guys,
Please could you help me.
I am now on ADSL and this is what I have.
Billion 7202gr2 Modem , XP. ( Main PC )
Second PC has Windows 2000 and USB wireless Network connector.

I have connected the second pc to my Billion router via USB wireless adaptor and I can not understand why the speed is so slow. When I surf on the main pc, it flys.

Could it be the firewall or something else. I have left everthing to the defaults.
Please could you tell me where to look.

I need a bit more info, is the Main PC connected via a network cable or is that aslo wireless? is it only the internet thats slow or does it also happen when you are transfering files?

Hi bjorn,
The main pc is connect to my Billion modem/router via network cable. The main pc and my second are the only pc's I have connected. This is a home setup.

Check the MTU of the 2nd pc's wireless adapter

Change to a value around 1400 - 1465. Reboot and try access the net again
