Hi Guys

Please bear with me.. i am USELESS, i think i am in deeper than i should be..

so i am trying to get onto the VOIP bandwaggon...

I bought myself a Linksys SPA 3102, as i have been using FNB connect for a while..

Now i am able to get into the router via web interface ect.. i have used some online tut's on how to set this thing up but i think i am failing..

basically i set line 1 to the details for FNB COnnect. Ie Proxy is voice.fnbconnect.co.za
and username is my [email protected]
and my password.

but the unit always says registration failed.

the guys @ fnb connect cannot confirm on deny if it will actually work so maybe i should try set it up with something that we know works...

please guys any help wil be MUCH appreciated.

small update,

i managed to get the router connected to voip buster.

so i am thinking i may not have the correct details for fnbconnect..

i think that voice.fnbconnect.co.za is not the server address for their SIP server.

will check on monday, if anyone has any ideas i will appreciate it.

update

so i did the firmware update to the router from cisco, and i managed to now the the VOIP and PSTN lines to register..

but i am unable to call out..

i am able to receive call from my pstn lines but thats as far as it goes.

Did it work

Hi,

I want to get the SPA3102 and also do the fnbconnect setup. Did you manage to get it going?

PAP2 CONFIGURATION

Any luck with ATA configuration. I have tried both voice.fnbconnect.co.za and [email protected].
None is working, connection failed.

Username: <087 number>
Password: <your password>

Registrar/outbound proxy etc.: voice.fnbconnect.co.za

Remember you are going to want theese general settings:
Make sure you have g729 and at least gsm as a failover codec or registration will fail on teh sdp offer

If you still got a problem let me know.

Sounds like a codec issue as the system who is being offered the call has codec priority.
