Hi, hope this is the right place to post this.

I need help in having our online shop translate over to a brick and mortar setup. Current selling exclusively online - website running on shopify and all is well on that end. Issue however is what setup/hardware that will assist in have offline sales show up on shopify as well.

1. Shopify has its own POS app. One can get that on an iPad but struggling to find a compatible hardware (card reader) available in SA to use. Also, the payment methods available favour shopify payments which is not available in SA either.

2. Yoco has a machine and app and one can process payments but there is no way that I can find to have those payments automatically appear on the shopify platform.

Any ideas/help on how I can achieve getting offline purchases onto the shopify platform without entering each sale manually?

Why don't you use a browser terminal pc as the point of sale and fill in the order on behalf of the client or make it self-service if they complete the order on your website? Then you don't need to integrate two systems.

Alternatively, pay a developer large sums of money to create a plugin to integrate the two. But make it public and get some return on your investment by making it available. Freemium.

I have the same issue currently using woocommerce for taking orders and manually invoicing them on Street Invoice.

So if you install the YOCO plugin within Shopify, won't you be able to then view the payment stream?

EDIT: Deleted my previous comment bc I didn't read OP's post properly.

You can easily get Shopify Payments into the YOCO dashboard but getting payments/data from the YOCO dashboard TO Shopify is not that easy.

Sort of like a "write back" to Shopify.

My 2c is: If you look at the YOCO API reference there's some JSON returned with info about the charge. You could theoretically map some of that data to create a shopify "new order". You'll also have to dig into the Shopify API to figure out the logistics of that.

You need a solid developer :)

Yikes - yea i searched high and low and did not get a solution. I have a workaround. Will share it here incase it helps someone in the future. Simply use both systems as if they are connected but they wont be. Shopify POS will record client data and transaction and yoco will just record the payment. Start the journey on the POS but use Yoco only to collect funds. That way there is still a record of the purchase on Shopify even though the payment happened elsewhere.
