Has anyone had any experience with the extremegamer sound card? and does it really improve/enhance your gaming experience?

WHAT!? 1k-2k for a sound card?? no way!

Rather get a Creative Audigy Value 7.1 or Creative Audigy 4 7.1 R299/R600 trust me they are a huge stepup from onboard sound

as for skype problem it could be with you connection or setup

You really need high quality speakers/headphones to see the difference.

You should be able to hear the difference anyway, with gaming the technoligies supported by the soundcard help too.
