Help us save ANN7: workers union

if anyone were to buy ANN7 they will have to make do without most of the advertising revenue from government that the Guptas benefitted from, all those business breakfast that were sponsored by SOE's like Telkom and the likes, all the undue influence that the Guptas had over government and different companies, which means that whoever is taking over is mostly likely going to retrench some staff to keep the business afloat and the same union is going to march and organize strikes against the new owners.

does not seem like an enticing proposition

We should feel a bit sorry for technical people and support staff, but definitely not for journalists and editors.
Correct. And are we taking the unemployment rate into account and that nowadays a job is a job?

The Communication Workers Union on Thursday said it wanted business owners to take over Gupta-owned news channel, ANN7.”Let it be a South African-owned company. So we will be engaging with various business people to ensure that we save jobs at ANN7,” union president Clyde Mervin said.

If that dumbass union feels so strongly that ANN7 and its employees should continue spreading blatant propaganda, the CWU should put their money where their mouth is and buy ANN7 from the Guptas, the ANN7 employees can chip in and invest their own money as well.

That it was, right?
