Help using 5gb usb on laptop.

Hi,

My usb speedstick will not work in my laptop. It works in my brothers identical laptop. It worked on the computer in the cell c store. For some reason It has something to do with my settings. I've tried installing it, uninstalling it. Re installing it. Running it through MDMA. It connects but I cannot go onto any website. I have read somewhere it could be the antivirus monitoring it, but i have microsoft essentials and cannot see any settings to change. I previously connected with vodacom on my SE Vivaz, could that be causing an interference, or clash with ports? It's set on com25, is that right?

Can anyone help?
What should my ports be set on, is there a way to reset all my settings for it to work?

Can you connect but can't browse and then you get a 'page cannor be displayed' error or does it fail to connect completely.If its the latter make sure cellc is your default isp on IE-Tools-Internet options-connections-cellc-set defaut.0n LAN settings check-automatically detect settings.

Its the first option, page cannot be displayed error. Cell C is default isp... It connects completely... It just doesn't work...

Okay made Cell C default, which LAN settings must I make to detect automatically, my wireless or cable?

Sorry saw that on your first post.Try restoring defaults on the advanced tab of internet options.

But will those change anything because I alternate with firefox, and I tried opening warcraft 3, and that won't connect either, so it's not just the browser...

Are you Internet explorer?If yes then you should find all the Proxy settings when you click on LAN in the connections tab.

Okay i found it.. So... If i check use automatic config script it just reverts. I think I have to enter something in there... And it is set on detect automatic. - Check

you need to uncheck auti config script-leave it blank.

It isn't working.. at the bottom right corner it says no internet connectivity...
