Hi all.

I need some help. Due to certain circumstances I cant connect the Vodaphone Mobile Wifi Directly to a Desktop PC.
Now I have a Trendnet 658 BRM that i would like to use to Connect to the Desktop PC via Ethernet, and connect to the Vodaphone Mobile Wifi via The Trendnet. I think its called bridging? or not. im not sure.

Is it at all possible?
Dont want to have to go and buy a Wifi Adapter if i can use an alternate method and save some currency,

Please let me know and thank you in advance.

Hi There,
You are correct that you need to go for bridging. The challange as I see it is that the VOdafone WiFi is the device that you need to put into bridge mode. It would also have to be the DHCP server which it currently does do.
Where I think you are going to struggle is that I can't find any info on putting the Vodaphone device into bridge mode.

The other challange that you will have is that you could only connect wirelessly with this device it does not have an ethernet connection so that can be frustrating as the wireless network will only run at the speed of the slowest device attached to it.

I had hoped that the Trendnet woould have 3G USB connecction but sadly that looks like it does notl.

In short I believe you will not be able to do what you want to with the technology on hand.
There are brighter people than me on this site so I hope that someone can prove me wrong so that I can learn something.

Regards

Tim
