Hey, i have a huge problem with my windows installation..
I cant boot up anymore, i get a blue screen telling me there has been a REGISTRY ERROR, it then reboots. It makes no difference when trying the 'Last good configuration' boot option, or safe mode.
I have tried to re-install over the last installation but it gives me the same error when the setup tries to access the old install, the same occures with the recovery console..
It seemed to happen after eskom killed my power yesterday to do work on my street's power lines. When i got power back, the machine was fscked...
My hardware is fine, cuz i'm writing this from the same machine, but booted into ubuntu linux.. Formatting is NOT an option, i have over 200GB worth of stuff that i need on the drive, which i can still access thru linux, but cant affod to lose.. Does anyone know of a way to fix the registry either from another machine with my hdd plugged in, or thru my linux install.
Any help would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks in advance
