Help with ADSL virgin

Right I would like to get ADSL for myself, mainly for online games like Vanguard, but also other stuff, but mainly for online games.

Now I see there is what is called as All inclusive ADSL Packages, like the one at Web Africa, which is R299 for a 3gb ADSL line. Is this good, and what other factors would I need to look at, for optimal online gaming. Are there better options, like must I wait for other ADSL packages coming, stuff like that.

If this was discussed somewhere else, please excuse me, for I did not see it.

I’m currently living in Cape Town, thus I should have access to ADSL

O yes I have a budget of R400 for ADSL

Hmm... I think you looked at the wrong page. There is no all inclusive R299 package from WebAfrica.

Have look here: WebAfrica All inclusive

The most you can get is a 2GB 384 kbps package for R359. You won't get far with that for online gaming in most games, unless you don't play often. The first think I would be try is to get a higher budget.

hmmmm just be careful if its a 24 or even 12 month contract.

Trust me you do not want to get an ADSL contract .

By the looks of them mentioning the offer to freeze prices for 24 months it is definately a contract.

Please padkos whatever you do don't get a contract Im begging you

I'd say go get yourself a DO1 package. that cost R279 then purchase and OpenWeb ADSL extract account for R150. iF NOT mistaken

Anyway Neotel are apparently starting their trials soon so yes maybe it would be best to wait until then.

Unfortunately in SA we all know what "says" and "maybe" and "imminent" etc does do we not??

Quite frankly its all a gamble really but I would hate for you to fall into the hands of Telscommel if it can be avoided. But it is supposedly confirmed that Neotel will be offering voice and data options soon
