Help with connection settings after telkom was busy

scenerio:
TOday telkom installed the latest wifi router with adsl something 200tw/or 200 tsw..agg it dont matter...this is the problem
We had 3 lines 1-for business
2-alternate number
3-fax line(which is connected the pc( fax/modem.)

the telkom guy connected the adsl on the 2 one.
PROBLEM:
THE FAXES CANT BE SENT FROM THE PC AND RECIEVED ON THE PC ANYMORE.
Do i disable the internal fax/modem...and unplug the phone jack from the pc and plug it in the voip plug in the adsl router and do some settings there.
the adsl line is plugged in the lan port...(duh)
So does this mean that the faxes will go via the adsl modem to the fax line and visa versa.No need for the dial up modem to handle the faxes.
Can some one tell me how i will achieve this..remember this is the latest telkom dobroadband modem.
It has many plugs and features.
my boss is exspecting me to fix this tomorrow.

Faxes cannot go via any ADSL Modem. The computer sending & receiving the faxes needs to use an old dialup/Fax Modem to accomplish it's mission.

yes i know that,but its all data and the adsl router has a dedicated ports for voip..etc
I really cant remember the telkom router model,except it starts with 200.Its a fkin massive thing.

If it all is just data, I guess I can plug my screen into the floppy drive hey? Should work

Make sure you have a microfilter installed on the fax line.

Tell your boss tomorrow that Telkom is working on it to be used with uncapped (not free) local and the router should be ready to work in about a year's time. It should at least save you for a while

BTW, why use Telkom for a business? (Poor Service, Unreliable and Expensive)

lol...when i applied for the job in the interview i said i could do anything....i regret it now as he wants me to fix telkums fkups.
I HATE TELKOM.
FAX software and fixing is not my department..I am a technician for gawds sake,o ..right it is my job..lol

that seems ok,i guess thats what i wanted to try,So basically 2 telkom lines input,1 for the adsl and the other the fax line.Guess i will see what telkom says tomorrow

ok got the fax fixed,So everything is cool.

The cable was broken,the damn telkom guy pulled it to hard..i bought a new cable and presto.Now back to my other thread about the flash stick and mp3 corrupted...
