Help with creating a wireless network

Hi,please could some one explain to me on how to create a wireless network for home use between 2 pcs

Main pc(In the Study)
connected directly to the router (Telkom Mega 100WR)
No Network cards
Windows XP

My pc(My Room 80feet away)
Connected to the internet via Netgear Wireless-G usb adapter(WG111)using access point
No Network cards
Windows Vista Basic

Main use is to share files and printers

Any help would be greatly appreciated

ur pc is already connected to a wireless network? and it has internet connectivity? from where exactly? From the telkom mega 100wr??

If thats the case, ur already connected? maybe its late on friday and i am being dumb?

Yes it is connected to the internet but how do i view and get files from the other Pc?

okie dokey....
go to pc no1. click on start, then run. type cmd
= black terminal screen
type ipconfig
this will give you ur ip address...

repeat on pc no 2.

post output of each ip address...

I am guessing that they are all already conencted and one of the routers are handing out IP's.... in which case you could jsut go start, run, \\(ip address of other computer)
on both machines to make life very easy to begin with turn off firewalls. you will need to share files/folders

Okay first up, don't do colour. It looks crap and I can't read the yellow. The others are just annoying.
Am I correct in assuming you're using the usb connection between the main pc and the router? If so, file and printer sharing could be a problem as it doesn't create a network in that case AFAIK. The Netgear adapter is fine, so you just need to connect to the router via the wireless.
You might have some issues connecting between Vista Basic and XP. They DON'T like one another at all.
