Help with Customs/SAPO

Hi everyone

Pls help me...before I hurt someone at SAPO....

I ordered a special book for my daughter for christmas...its arrived at SA customs on the 3rd of December, but still waiting there and has not been scanned into SAPO's system. I'm worried that I won't get it in time.

How do I expedite the process? Is there anything to be done?

Phoned SAPO today, hanged up after 15 min of no answer.

Help pls!
 
You won't get it by xmas.

Use a courier next time.

Brutal truth right there, SAPO is stuffed, never use them.

It's sitting at customs not SAPO.

Phone Cape Mail.
 
Txs guys, will give them a call this morning.

I didn't choose SAPO, the supplier unfortunately did. There was an expedited courier option at 40 pounds that was more than the book's cost...

Txs, got hold of Cape Mail - very friendly and helpful service received. Confirmed that package still stuck in Jhb Hub, they've been experiencing major issues to get packages out.

Useless ****ers :mad:
 
By contrast, I got a package (just an A4 envelope) sent to me via DHL from Romania and it was delivered to my office in Centurion after only three working days and the weekend (the package kept moving on the weekend). Amazingly enough it went from Romania through Italy and two cities in Germany, before arriving in Johannesburg and getting delivered by courier to me ... in only five days.

The downside: that level of service cost me 50 Euros.

Thats why i wont buy goods that dont use a courier.Learnt my lessons before.Dont have the patience to wait 2 months for something to arrive.
