help with devhook

i have a psp from a friend who has devhook loaded. when i apptemp to play a game it says that i need to upgrade to a higher version. wil doing this brick the psp?

You might be able to update devhook to a more recent version but first things first - What does your friend say about it?

he doesn't know much cos he bought it second hand...just wants to be able to play all games doesn't want to spend more to repair it ifit gets bricked

There is an unbricker available, so I wouldn't worry.

hi firstly,get rid of devhook.secondly install a custom firmware,if you dont know how,post all the details in the psp thread about the firmware and check if its a ta 082 motherboard.I will help you step by step.
