Hi there people, need to get some help on th efllowing:
I have a network that consists of the following:
Neighbor with a NetgearDG384 Router, in his roof a ASUS AccessPoint WL300G
In my roof a ASUS AccessPoint WL300G. The two access points are connected to each other in Hybrid Bridge mode with MAC as security.
Now my problem is as fllows, I cannot dial a Broadband connection from my PC - get a error 678 - remote computer did not respond.
Now, the thing is that the neighbor needs to be permanently connected (so I cannot use "bridge mode")
How do I set it to be able to allow my Broadband connection ?

As Xcalibre said - you cannot dial the connection because the router is not on the lan side at you.

That router should have an IP address, and you should be able to see it.
try ping it.
Then, that IP must be the default gateway, (and optionally the DNS as well) for your PC.

EDIT: it gets more complex if you have different ip ranges etc as well. Try use the same range as he has for starters if need be.

I found the problem.. The two AP's have a setting that restrics PPOE connections... but if you chnage those settings to a "allow PPOE mode.." then the AP's don't see each other...LOL what a predicament, I guess the okes needs to get a different type of AP foe this//
LOL Luckily it is not my network.. mine is gonna run like a well oiled machine when I get ADSL !
*Thanks for the replies thus far though* !
