Help with driver for USB wifi dongle

Perhaps its DOA, what you could do is try run windows updates while its plugged in and it should find it.

Else, use USBdeview and uninstall anything that looks similar to the Wifi device and uninstall it.

You could also return it and spend a little over double for a proper TP-link PCIe/USB one.

Check device manager.
You should see it under network devices with the driver not installed.

If you don't see it there or under "Other" devices, it's most likely not being detected or not working.

If you do see it and the driver is not installed, you should right-click on it > properties > details > drop down to hardware IDs > copy the value and do a google search for that.
Volkano wouldn't be making their own hardware so searching for the ID might point you to the hardware manufacturers driver

Wish I could offer some advice but it seems like Volkano products are temperamental. Had a similar issue with a new Volkano wireless mouse at work that would not respond at all. Three of us tried everything we could think of but we couldn't figure out the issue so we assumed it was DOA and returned it to the supplier. The supplier then sent it back saying they had tested it and found it to be working. We set it up exactly as we had before and it worked perfectlyo_O

Perhaps..?
