I have 3 fines so far I got from someone else driving my car on the N3.

From Potch back to PMB, all 3 of them occurred on the same day.
1 is in Van Reenens Pass @ R750 for driving 120km in a 100km zone.
2 others are from Harrismith, not sure about the details but they are R100 and R400.

The first big fine was easy enough to send off to the actual driver.
The other two are a problem as the only thing it states is that I have to go to Bloemfontein to sort them out if I weren't the driver. It's also got a number that's busy every time I try to call it.
The deadline for them is looming around the corner and I cannot afford this at all. The actual offender is unable to help out with paying them, he needs more time.
Now all I really want to do is push these fines to him and make them his problem, yet I am unable to do so.

Anyone got any way of helping me? Maybe someone I can phone and talk to? In the midlands area by any chance.

Why do you let other people drive your car?

Do you hire it out to make extra cash?

If that's the case then I think getting fines is a risk you have to take...

Or yeah, just ignore them.

Is there anyone out here who's actually going to give me some advice or help me?

I mean we all do things for family and friends. I was just trying to help out a friend, now we're trying to sort out the fines.

Also cannot ignore the fines. I'm thinking about selling this car and buying a different one soon, and can't do that with fines on my name.

The only thing i could suggest is make an affidavit saying who the driver was and send it to them registered mail..but with out going there with the affidavit there is no guarantee that any one would take any notice of the affidavit but it may keep you out of jail.

Just looking at those fines, not one of them is a big one, so there is no need to go to Bloem to pay them.

Register at Paycity and pay them. I honestly cannot see the problem...or am I missing something?? :wtf:

No we don't. I won't even let my wife drive my car.
It's like loaning someone a gun which is registered in your name.
