About 2 months ago I lost 15kg's due to the fact that I wasn't eating at all. This was caused by migranes and I never really had much of an appetite during this time either. So, the good thing is that I lost 15kg's and I'm quite happy with my weight. My appetite has also returned.

I would like to firm up now and get a bit of definition (but, not too big). Can anybody suggest a good protein-shake kind of thing that can help?

I hope you intend to combine your protein shake with a weights regime? Otherwise you'll just be flabbing up.

Well a protein shake will not help you gain any definition - they ONLY work in conjunction with an exercise routine. Any one is ok - creatine based solutions are the most common and imo the safest.

The thing to look out for is the Carb count. If you're looking to maintain as opposed to putting on weight, you'd want a decent quality shake that has a lot more protein than carbs.
Kindof like what cerebus said.... I know USN IGF-9 used to work well for me.

You'll slowly learn which is the right one for you. Your 'stomach' for the shake will be the factor. You'll also be able to clear a room very quickly... or free up a machine you need to use :D

DONT DO WEIGHTS!

Get a boxing/punching bag OR join a boxing Gym. You need to do resistance exercise with your own body weight to build lean muscle, and the boxing will trim subcutaneous fat - resulting in a lean, cut look. Weights will bulk you up, and when you stop, turn you into a blob. Weights are not natural. Besides, learning how to box also helps you kick the **** out of some random overpumped gym bunny throwing his weight around on friday night.

Turning into a 'blob' will be the same no matter what form of excercise you stop doing. I say that out of context though... a healthy way of life would not result in the aforementioned blob-turning.
Doing gym will NOT turn you into some muscle-bound freak. I don't understand where this misconception comes from?? The amount of muscle you gain is relative to the weight/routine you choose....

Not one part of that was even remotely true.
