Hey guys so I have the 17 " lcd and its about 2 yrs old. About 2 days ago, when the monitor is switched on, even if it is not plugged into a pc, there is a red glow around the screen.
If I load up windows, it looks slightly distorted, like running on low colour.

I am not sure if maybe something is blown in the monitor. I hve tried to reset the monitor but still no luck.

Help!!
Thanks

Does the Screens menu's look fine?. ??

menu's look fine (Firmware menu's, built into the LCD) ??

Meaning only the input distorted?? (from PC to LCD looks dodgy??)

It is wierd, as I switch it on, it has a red glow when the screen is black. In Windows, it looks like very low quality. I will try take a pic and post it.

The LCD monitor has Firmware menu's, wich you can change and check settings.

Menu buttons at bottom or side of LCD. THose menu's should be showing 100% . Otherwise its the Display (LCD) itself that is fried.

If the inputs are fried, then basically everything coming from your pc. It could be movie or game or simple desktop will show funny colours or maybe even be only one colour or mixed garbage on the screen.

If it is what it sounds like, you possibly burnt your screen. It's much like leaving a static screensaver on your CRT for a day. Chances of fixing that is pretty slim.
