Depending on the software you use you cant go wrong with a MacBook Pro and Final Cut Pro is a superb video editor.i tarvel alot and do short video edits and graphics so im planning on buying a laptop and an external hardrive, but i need advice as to what kind of brands and sizes or types to buy.

On the subject of Quark . . did you upgrading to 7? Is it worth it?I have had a HP NX8220 for about 10 months now. I do video editing, work on Photoshop, corel draw and Qwark no problem. In my eyes HP will get the job done at a decent price.

Yep, IMO, of the 2, Dell is still cheaper.What price range?
Dell and Mac are all good and great, but I think they are a little over priced.

I prefer Quark to InDesign any day of the week - probably because I've been using it since version 3. It's still the industry standard which helps.I've got the windows demo of quark, and it's not that easy to useI'm not sure what benifit it has over previous versions, but the Adobe products are much easier to use.
