Help with Malware/Spyware

Hey guys,

My cuz was fooling around with my laptop and I think my system is now infected with spy/mal ware.

I can not access my computer nor network connections.Accessing my documents is a mission, have to go through the run command, then browse.

Can anyone help me getting rid of this ****!

The usual steps would be to get a program like SpyBot, as well as a good anti-virus like Avast, update them, restart the laptop and scan in safe mode.

After that comes the more challenging part of cleaning out any left over or stubborn virii or malware, should the programs not pick up anything.

Do any of the other shortcuts on your desktop work by the way?

Get Spybot S&D for spyware and Avast! home edition for virus, update them both and do a scan. Scan with Avast! boot scan and preferably move your *infected* files to the chest. You can download them both from download.com.

hey guys, thanks for the advice....-

Tried most of them and had no joy....then last night the other half says try Windows Live OneCare -have to tell you, I am impressed....downloaded the software,did its thang and cleaned up my system....Mal/Spy/Ad ware, all removed,totally free service. I would recommend it to anyone!
