Our company's been using MyGate My Enterprise (web services) to transact and we've run into so many issues with 3D secure. I've tested the system countless times with both a non 3D secure enrolled card and an enrolled card, and it seems to work fine for me. Some of our clients are having problems though. They aren't enrolled yet they're taken to a 3D secure registration page after checking out. They then fill in their details and are (for some reason) taken straight back to our website.

If anyone has experience with the My Enterprise package and 3D secure integration, would really appreciate a PM. I'll explain the exact calls and data we're POSTing. I only ask here because MyGate support closes at 5PM sharp and we now have no support until Monday morning.

What browsers are your clients using?

If it's IE8 or 9 they could attempt to turn "compatibility view" on and go through the process again.

I'm not sure what Mygate is, but you say they get returned to your site, which to me speaks of a browser issue.

MyGate is a credit card processing gateway. There are 3 to 5 soap calls that we're doing.

1. 3D secure lookup
- if client is enrolled, they are taken to Verified by Visa/MasterCard SecureCode - an ACS page that handles the external authentication.
- if not enrolled, they're taken back to our website where the transaction continues processing.

2. If the lookup tells us they're not enrolled, we then do an AUTH to reserve the funds and later to a SETTLE to charge.

3. If they are enrolled, they fill in their PIN on the ACS page and are returned to our site, after which we do a 3D secure specific AUTH to get a transaction index, followed by a AUTH and SETTLE as in 2 above.

The issue is that these clients aren't enrolled in 3D secure, yet the lookup is returning Y - meaning they're redirected to an ACS to enroll in the program. They then fill out the registration form and are returned banked to our site. They aren't told whether they were successfully registered by the ACS, nor do they know whether they've been charged and the status of the transaction (we know they aren't charged, but there's no message by the ACS).

Even after you explain that it could either be a Mygate problem, a problem on your server\configuration or a simple browser issue.

Can you confirm which browser is being used? (I know I might sound daft asking it, but it could just be that simple).

I spent a good part of today on the phone to them, unfortunately when I tried to phone them at 17:01, it was lock up shop :) It could very well be a problem our side. I re-wrote the payment gateway yesterday - did test it with quite a few cards and never experienced any issues. It's hard for me to diagnose the problem when our client's cards are failing and nothing is recorded in the MyGate transaction panel. I have added exception handling our side but since there was quite a rush to get a payment gateway up and running, it's not logging our side just yet (not a huge issue since MyGate still (or should) records all this info).

I don't think it's a browser compatibility issue, but rather a 3D secure enrolment/lookup problem. I know the one client was using a iPhone, which failed for her, but worked for us, and I'm not sure of the others.
