I have recently loaded Ubuntu 8.10 with great success. Runs smoothly and with almost no problems. However someone - child/wife decided that I can read read some form of looks like wingdings in Open Office package. Now I cant read this and I cant change the language in OO either. Is there a way I can reload/reset to default etc?

Any Comments/assistance/shoulders to cry on?

P.S. I have looked at so many pages I cant see straight--_--

Have all the menu headings also changed ie not in a readable font?

flyweb, uninstalled and then reinstalled - with no luck.
Airwolf, the menu headings also changed into an unreadable font and thus I can see what I am doing. Got hold of a PC with OO on it, and followed the steps to restore the language to English - but even the dialouge boxes are gobbledegook. Will post a screenshot once I find out how.

Browser, thanks for the effort. I managed to get to a PC with open office and did a printscreen and took it home to try and fix. Unforsekinitly it didnt and I am still stuck. Busy downloading OO3 as we speak and so if that doesnt work I will be clueless and forced to use something else.

I got it right

Eventually I have an OO package that I can read. Yep I had to reload Linux and all add ons. But its all here now. Thanks for those who tried to help.
