HELP WITH PC

Can anyone help me with my pc.it only switches on when i unplug the +12vdc connector from the motherboard otherwise nothing and even when it switches on theres no post beep or any visibility on the monitor.
did i fry my motherboard and cpu or wtf?

what motherboard do you have? have you tried unplugging all the cards/hdd/cdroms from it and seeing if the POST comes up.

yes i do have to press the power button still.i disconnected everything leaving only the motherboard with 1gig of ram graphics card,cpu and power supply.

all i did was put my motherboard into another case so that happened.

If its an older mboard u can fry the board if the mounting screws arent grounded...Can you check that the screws are in their little copper screw sleeve things?

i mounted the board correctly but still nothing.

Well try the CPU in another board and see what happens.

have to connected the power pins,reset switch and hdd lights/switches correctly

Check that eveything is pluged back in, specialy the ram some mobo's will not post if the RAM is not in correctly, my MSI just posts in a black screen
