I currently have a Mecer 1200VA (720W) Inverter (https://www.geewiz.co.za/mecer-inve...rter-battery-charger-ups-intelligent-fan.html) and last night it went boom when load shedding started and it did the cutover
made a big noise and a burning smell.
It is currently being used to power my PC, TV and fibre. I feel like I'm pushing the thing a little too far as I sometimes game on the PC so perhaps I'm too close to the edge of the 720W it can handle. The draw never exceeded this but hey.
I had it hooked up to a 100Ah 12.8V LiFePO4 Orion battery (which is amazing).
My question is....
Can I replace it with a view to maybe upgrade slightly to something like:
GeeWiz Axpert Type 1000VA (1000W) PURE Sine Wave Inverter - https://www.geewiz.co.za/load-shedd...-sine-wave-inverter-60a-mppt-720w-hybrid.html
or
GeeWiz Axpert 3000VA (3000W) PURE Sine Wave SOLAR Inverter - https://www.geewiz.co.za/geewiz-inv...-wave-solar-inverter-50a1200w-pwm-hybrid.html
or is the best thing to do to just replace like with like? I have no idea these can be hooked up to my single 12V battery or not.
TL;DR will either of those two pure sine wave inverters work with my single 12V Lithium battery. Charging will be via Eskom and not solar.
Appreciate the help on this one.
