So I have a TP-Link Archer D7 router running on 10meg ADSL. They have recently upgraded my area to 40meg VDSL. The Archer D7 does not support VDSL for some stupid reason. I am waiting for Telkom to upgrade my line to the 40meg VDSL. In anticipation I have a bought a D-Link G225 router which supports VDSL. What I want to know is how do I setup the D-Link to be a modem only and route all traffic via the TP-Link router? TIA

If you log into the D7's WebUI go to advanced - operation mode and put it into router mode and on the G225's WebUI you find the option under LAN or network settings, just look around for it, and turn off DHCP Server.

Plug the G225 port 1 into the D7's port 4, then just enter your ISP username and password on the D7.
