Hi good day

I just need some help setting up my router for peer-to-peer and gaming networking I have a SMC Barricade (SMC9701BRA2). The network address translation settings should be on?? But this does not prohibit peer-to-peer networking, please help. i have a account at Axxess and they are no help to me in this area.

the problem i having is that it seems to get inbound traffic but nothing is getting out...

and port forwarding and DMZ settings does not work..

You said that Portforwarding isn't working, have you previously tried setting up a port forward, if so please cancel/delete all previous port forwards and see if it works.

Sorry I'm not familiar with the SMC Routers. If you know what your username/password for your isp account is, you can try resetting the router by pressing the small button at the back, after doing this the router will be reset to factory defaults.

though I am not familiar with SMC but with any port forward setting you should have two ports to setup, the external and the internal, its just easy to make them the same, and then the IP address the port has to forward to. so example.

you're using emule / torrent on PC thats on 192.168.0.20 using 1200 TCP and 1300 UDP then you need to setup 2 port forwards or

TCP 1200ext 1200int forward to 192.168.0.20 and then your
UDP 1300ext 1300int forward to 192.168.0.20

and so on..
