Help with Router?

Hi guys, I'm housesitting at the moment, and they have allowed me to use their ADSL line. I'd rather use my own account though while I'm here and I'm wondering if any of you out there could help me enable it.

The router and account are both Mweb. Is it true that I cannot enter different account information into MWeb routers? That they are locked?
Is there any way to get round this? I am unsure how to access the router even, as the 10.0.0.2 IP doesnt work either.

Can anyone help?

can you tell us what the make or brand of router is?

Try 192.168.1.254 as a router login...
 
I just looked and its a 'Billion'

model number: 7401VGP (MWeb Edition)

Unfortunately the router will be network locked to Mweb only. So you won't be able to use your account. There is also no known workaround for it.
 
Unless you want to flash the firmware on the router :D
BUt thats prob out of the question since its not yours.

My best option would be to get a small adsl modem and dial through from your PC (ie disconnect their router);)
 
^^^ Or enable pppoe relay if supported, Install Raspppoe and dial out from your pc
