Hi everyone I just need some help please because im about to pull my hair off. I am getting a uncapped 1meg line from mweb so I went to buy a router the guys at incredible connection said I can't just buy any router and told me I need 1 with a built in modern so I phone mweb and the guy said no I can just get any ADSL router. So then I went to the mweb store in cresta and that guy said no I need ADSl modern router. So then phone mweb call centre again and they again said any adsl router will do the job. I just don't know what to do really because it seems no one can really give a right answer

If you want to be able to connect to the Internet you need a router and a modem. Most routers do come with a built in modem though and it sounds like this is your best bet.Just make sure when purchasing the router that it DOES have a built in modem.

An ADSL router is like a normal router with and adsl modem built in.
So, if you buy an adsl router it should be fine.

Which router were you trying to buy, and why in the world were you buying it from Incredible Connection?
You are better buying one from DBG, they sell TP-link ones, which are quite decent i believe.

And they offer discounts to MyBB forum users as well, which includes you

TP-Link ADSL Routers: http://www.dbg.co.za/index.php?cPath=1_55_57

P.S. Make sure you get a wireless one

Just give them a call, and talk to them

Hi There,
I went with a TP-Link recently and it has been trouble free.
You can also look at Netgear they are also really easy to configure and very reliable.
ADSL Router I agree with above in that they will contain the modem needed.

Regards

Tim
