I hope that somebody here may have some suggestions re this.
I need to connect to a PC in an area where the are no landlines but there is a Vodacom and MTN connection (albeit one needs to use an external antenna). I am currently doing this to a PC at a site where there is a landline by using a modem. The remote site needs to answer when dialled and I then use PCAnywhere to update files and run and or reset a program or even the PC itself on the remote system. Speed is not that imperative as I usually transfer very small file up to 10 k at the most. Security is very important and that is why I would like to avoid a internet connection if possible. Preferably a system where I could dial-in to the PC as I am doing now. I have contacted a number of companies, but they don't seem to know what I am talking about. If anybody reading this has any ideas re this or possibly running a similar system, I would like to hear from them.
Any help would be appreciated.
