Help with setting up connection with E160 (unlocked) on Vodacom

I'm glad I found this site! I hope you guys can help me. I have been trying, without success to connect to the net on my Eee PC s101 with an unlocked Huawei E160 modem I purchased yesterday. I put in a prepaid vodacom sim card with 30mb data card. I am using Mobile Partner to connect. Text messages are coming in and going out just fine. But I can't get the internet connection to happen. I know there be some brilliant folks here who can help me. Please help? Otherwise I am wasting a perfectly good netbook...hell, what is the use of a netbook if you can't connect to the internet?

You need to activate the SIM for Data.

Dial *111# then 5 for device setup. and follow the prompts.

You will get the WAP settings sent to your phone/sim. It can take an hour - 5 hrs for the SIM to be data operational.
