Hi, please assist me.

My employer pays half of the medical contribution and the other half is deducted from my salary. Now there are multiple tax codes that I'm not sure what to fill in and on which part of the form. 3810, 4470, 4005

My contribution is R1027.5 p/m, total of R2055 p/m is paid by the employer to the medical aid.

Does this mean code 3810 should be 2055 x 12months , and the other codes 1027.5 x 12 each?

Thanks

Hi
If its coming off your Salary then it should automatically appear on your IRP5 filled out by your Employer (regardless of you paying or them)
You don't need to fill out an amounts - the only amounts you should fill out is if you had to pay for anything cash that the medical aid didnt cover (this normally spears on the Certificate provided by the Medical aid if you claimed and it was rejected.

Hi, the problem is that the employer hired a part-time admin to do their taxes. When I submitted my IRP5 the lady at SARS asked me if the tax practitioner is dyslexic and suggested we hire someone else to do our taxes because the info submitted was nowhere near accurate. All our colleagues have this dilemma now.

So basically I just want some sort of confirmation as to what the amounts should have been for the codes mentioned earlier. If it is a quick fix we can correct it ourselves while the company searches for another tax practitioner
