I have a secure memory stick. It has two partitions. When you insert it in the computer, the first partition appears as a cd, fires up a piece of software that allow you to put in a password and once you have done that you get access to the second partition. Very nice when it works.

The problem is that something has gone wrong and it does not accept my password or allow me to change my password. So, all I want to do is totally destroy the partitions and use it as a standard memory stick.

How can I destroy a partition that fires up as a cdrom?

What brand & model?

You can try and use something like linux gparted, cfdisk or dd.
