Does anyone know how to change the password / user name for my pppoe connection on Tomato firmware and/or DD-WRT?

This is the scenario:
I have Mweb uncapped ADSL (1 login at a time)
I have a router at the office running Tomato and a router at home running dd-wrt.
I would like to schedule a disconnect at the office and change the user name / password to prevent it reconnecting (it reconnects fairly quickly). I'll then schedule another name/pw change for the morning.

Same thing on the home side - username / pw change and connect, then disconnect and change again to prevent reconnect.

Anyone know how to do this? ifconfig ppp0 down takes the pppoe down but it comes up again in seconds...

Why not set both routers to bridged mode and then set up PPPOE connects on each pc. Then you can disconnect them when you done or reconnec it when you need to. This is done on your pc so its easier than changing it on your router.

Thanks Mike, here's why:
I have Mweb uncapped ADSL (1 login at a time)
Seems it's more difficult than I thought...
Wonder if there are config files I can edit, save and reboot the router to disable login temporarily...

Na it would work. PPPOE connections can be set up on the pc not the router. So you log onto the internet with pc 1. Then log out and log on on pc 2. Never using them at the same time or leaving one on when not needed. Its like a dial up connection but with adsl. You could automate this to connect disconnect through windows task schedular. Shout if you need help setting it up

Tomato supports cron jobs, so why not just get it to edit your pppoe config according to your schedule?

Perfect dshutts... exactly what I'm attempting... but
HOW?
Where is it stored?
