Help with TP-link archer C80 setup

I’ve recently purchased a C80 router for my fiber line (100mbs). I think the Zyxel that was supplied by isp might have been damaged in recent lightning storm. The new router works fine - I have connected the tp-link deco also to it to increase WiFi coverage. I also have a network switch connected which now does not seem to work - internet access for 5-10min then off. The switch is also TP-link - gigabit 8 port switch. Is there a setting or something that I need to change to get this switch to work? All lights on the switch come on flashing green - so I’m at a loss for what could be the cause?
