Help with wifi

I have the following setup. 1 x SMC n-draft wifi router and 1 x SMC n-draft Access point.

The two are connected through WDS and everything works fine, accept for the internet that is very slow when connecting wireless with the AP. When i connect to the router i get full internet speed (3Meg), but when i connect to the AP i get 0.6Meg.

I know that connecting through WDS cuts the speed in half that the two units can connect at, but that should still give me ample speed to run the internet at full speed.

Any ideas??

OK, it could be that there is some other WiFi interference in the area.
Normally these devices is set on channel 7 as default.
Try scanning from your AP to see what signals there is in your area and then use an open channel for your AP.

I have put both units on channel 11 and have even put them right next to each other. No change.
