I posted this question in another thread, and haven't had conclusive answers.
I have now waited for 8 days after buying the tickets, and don't know what to do next.
I bought tickets from the FIFA website for a game in the first round. This was 8 days ago. Money was happily taken from me.
After putting the request in, realised that I had to pick the tickets up myself and attend the game myself, which will be impossible as I am 10000km away.
Turns out FIFA has a mechanism for this, called Ticket Resale.
Which would all be great if I had the tickets. They are still listed under my "Ticket Area" as "requested" tickets. I wish my money could be "requested" like that, and not gone...
I have sent a number of messages to both [email protected] and .co.za, I get the automated response every time - "it will take between 5 and 7 working days..."
Has anyone on this forum bought tickets online from FIFA, and received an official confirmation that the tickets were yours?
