Hi guys, not sure if this is the correct place to post but I would really appreciate any help I can get.

We currently have a 5gb CellC whoosh stick plugged into a Zyxel NBG4115 3g router which is working perfectly as long as the APN stays set to "internet". Now this wouldnt be a problem but I need to test incoming connections to the CCTV equipment that we supply and upon the changing the APN to "unrestricted" I can't for the life of me get the damn thing to dial a connection.

The unrestricted APN dials fine from the pc dashboard and the connection is stable so I'm certain we have been correctly provisioned for it.

Hi Mike156, I've just bought a Zyxel NBG4115 router but I can't configure my 5GB CellC stick in order to connect to the internet. I've just spoken to a Cell C consultant who said the router is not compatible with the network. Please can you tell me what settings you used for Pin Code, APN Code, Dial Number, Username and Password, and any other settings. I'm using an Apple Mac, but not sure that will make a difference?

Muthi, if the Cell C's HSDPA dongle isn't on that router's compatibility list, then it would probably never work.

The problem is that the router won't have the drivers for the device, so it won't be a matter of incorrect settings (eg. Pin/APN/Dial Code/Username/Password/etc.)

We have both an e367 and the standard 5gb stick but will check when i get back to work. I do remember our original stick wouldn't work with the router so we raised hell with cellc and they swapped it out amd has been working fine since.just can't get it to dial the unrestricted apn :(

Both our e367 and e1820 are working fine in the nbg4115. Apn is set to internet with *99# being the dialing number with no pin. When they swapped out our e1820 its possible the new one had a later firmware, maybe you can update the firmware on the router or modem or both?
