Is it possible to reverse a payment made to someones cheque account?

Yes. You have to phone your bank and request it. There is a fee involved, which is sometimes not worth it, if the amount was less than R500. I remember I requested it a few years ago with Standard Bank, so the other banks should be the same I assume.

I bought headsets from OLX and the guy said that he was working the whole day monday and that he can't call the couriers to pick it up if he was not there , he said he can leave it at his girlfriends house and that he can ask the couriers then to pick it up

I've got a feeling that a week is stretching it a bit. You can phone Nedbank tomorrow and see if you come right. I know SB wanted to charge me almost R200 for the reversal in 2011, so it's a steep fee. I didn't reverse as the amount didn't justify it.
