Cant you just give the new one a different name or just change the settings in the working telkom one? the only thing you'd need to do is change the username/pwd.

I did create a new one, it said completed or whatever but it is not showing up under network connections.

I went to 10.0.0.2/router settings and i changed the pppoe connection to the webafrica one and then rebooted. So i take it i am now on my WA account. is there anyway to check? I dont feel like telkom sending me a bill for there ISP.
I normally dial up everytime and it shows the connected icon in startbar, it aint doing that no more

I suppose you could log into the saix user stats and see if there is usage on the account.

Yeah i know I can do that, but surely there is another way?

Dunno - I dont use bridged mode and wherever possible I dont use windoze. Do WA and Telkom perhaps use different ip ranges or DNS servers?

Hi rburley

Easiest would be to login to your marconi router and have a look under the ISP section, where you actually add the account.

Check your username/password and to make 100% sure that you dont connect to the telkom account, make sure only your webafrica account is added.

If you run bridged mode, and using windows xp, simply create a new broadband connection and give it a new name "Webafrica working bla bla" then use ur username/password in it, and it can only connect to the webafrica account.

k thanx it seems to be running fine on PPPOE, i changed it to the WA username/pass and rebooted and its running fine. I will leave some downloads on tonight and check in the morning if my telkom acc has been used or not.
Whats strange is the setting has been on PPPOE for a while now and i still had to dial up, and now i dont

Seems to me like you have to go into your router config and delete the Telkom accout info and either insert the new account info or config it to explicitly not negotiate on your behalf and let you do OS side PPPoE.

If you discontinued the Telkom account you should ask questions as to why it is still active and if you are still paying for it...

Well it looks like it was using my telkom isp, i tried to make a new connection with WA username/pass and it says username password invalid:confused

Is there anyway i could reset my router settings?
