Helpp!!!!

Hi all!

I seriously need help, im finally gonna get adsl... but now im shopping around. i thought i knew what i needed to know but ive spent the whole night reading all the threads and its making me even more confused.

I use the net mostly for browsing, email, chatting. ill learn not to download as much. im looking at a 2Gig cap, 384kbps line. and ive got a normal telkom line, and no adsl line. so a complete package is needed

I need help on choosing ISP's...
Ive spoken to Telkom and MWEB;
mweb told me its R270 - thats 2gig data and telkom line rental,
telkom its R258 - 2 gig data, but they say it doesnt include adsl line rental

after speaking to telkom it just made me confused why would mweb be so much cheaper?

Now from reading all the threads on here, ive looked at Cybersmart, saol and webafrica.
ive looked at the complete packages from these ISP's:
Cybersmart - R259 - 3gig, 384kbps
Saol - R218 - 2gig, 384kbps, free router
webafrica - R279 - 2gig.

so obviously i would go for cybersmart.. 3gigs for the same price as 2gigs as the other isps.. right decision?
but question... it says its an all inclusive package.. does it include adsl line rental from telkom (or where ever)?????

I am SOOOO confused! Please help!!!!

Well, personally I'd go with Telkom DoBroadband 2 which is a 384k line and a 2GB TelkomInternet account. TelkomInternet allow you to download a bit over your cap, and they also allow 10GB local access (after cap) for each 1GB you buy (so you would get 20GB local after cap).

There's also a way to get a free ADSL router through Telkom. Make sure you choose the self-install option when getting the line installed. Then you'll be able to pick up a router from your local Telkom Direct store, and save about R400 in installation fees.

You need:
1 A normal Telkom phone line. (You do not need an extra phone line for ADSL).
2 ADSL access. This is not the phone line but uses the one you already have.
3 An ISP (Internet Service Provider).

Telkom Do2 includes ADSL access and 2 gig data but not the phone line.
