You people flaming Hetzner are all morons. They have IDS and they inform you that there could have been a breach. Its not that they are saying that security is just up 2 you. Alot of others do that. Hetzner is much more security aware than other hosting companies.

Not fun when you are hosting +/- 100 domains with around 1000's of email accounts.

That's exactly why I made the comment. Many people just don't like security. Full Stop. They refuse to take security measures into their own hands and then just blameshift when something goes bad.

What's the point of installing a R15K alarm system in your house if you still use the default settings as setup by the manufacturer? Every thief knows the default settings for every alarm made, cause they know there are many lazy people out there whom they can rob. You deserve to be robbed if this is you.

Yes, this happens to many hosting companies. Look at what happened to fsckVPS when their root passwords got compromised. A lot of tragedy followed (search HyperVM hacked & "K T Ligesh").

Im hosting at a company that has not being hacked Im happy. Calling people "morons" for being critical of a company that did not look after their security sufficiently enough is ... doff.

xD LMFAO.... so you Know for a fact that your hosting company hasnt been hacked? How exactly would you know this. A person naming him/herself Zero_Cool is such a nub. Thats the point not what movie its relaited to. Saying that your Hosting comany has never been pend is really ignorant. The simple fact is most companies doesnt inform their clients of any pends or they dont have an up to date IDS. So you can go back to never never land and light up another spliff of ignorants. Plz
