I have a problem for about 15 days when I switched to 1024kbits/s from 256kbits/s & my router is (3com 3crwdr100a-72) with the latest firmware and configured properly, the problem is that when I open (192.168.1.1>>status and logs>>adsl status) in the data rate section it must be showing 1024kbps. for the downstream All the time, but it is showing sometimes 1024kbps sometimes 600kbps sometimes 182kbps sometimes 128kbps, 64kbps!! and not always 1024kbps. and in this times it download with the number that it show as for 600kbps it download with 70 kbyte/s and so on.
When I phoned 19777 (my isp number) the technical support told me that the phone line is too weak but how the phone line be too weak and make it work on 1024kbps even if it is for 1 minute ??? and I got an electrician and he told me that these phone lines was renewed less than year ago. another thing is that the up stream in the data rate section is always constant at 256kbps. so how the downstream is not constant ???? and how when I restart the router it shows 1024kbps. and downloads with about 105kbyte/s again ????? please I need any help to solve this problem and if it is related to the phone line I wish you could send to me anyone who can solve this problem …. And for the lines & splitter in my house they are installed properly and I have worked on this setup for about 3 years now !
