Hi-Fi Corp launches e-store

I despise buying anythiong from them - the amount of shuffling backwards and forwards and the paper work is a killer

Some of their products are awful. Bought a toaster from them a few years back. Put in some bread and pushed the lever down. Within 10 seconds the plastic front of the toaster melted and fell onto the hot element and black smoke came out. Took it back and they said there was no guarantee since I had "modified" it. I had to cut the (Australian) plug off and fit a 15 amp plugtop. After a big argument in which they said I should have used an adaptor (which they did not sell), I asked for the toaster back and said I was going to take it to the SABS who are just down the road. I was told to hold on and this aggressive manager came to see me asking what did I expect for R 49,00? So I walked out to the car, he came running out after me and offered a credit voucher. Never set foot in their stores again. I gave the voucher to my neighbour.

So I purchased using said methods :P

Now my parcel is scanned in Lusaka (1.5 hours being scanned in Jhb)

This plug story is enough to make me go postal. I check everything I buy now, and demand an SA plug if one is not fitted. I reckon I've got a 30% success rate on that :o

It works?

Not coming right with said methods :(

Admittedly, my skills in that dept aren't exactly sizzling.

I tried again now ... you can see the cart updating, but then there is nothing there. It seems they've changed something.
Perhaps there was stock that was set to appear at certain times, but it's since been purchased by the trickery :P

Damn, I could see the dots lighting up as refreshed, but no luck!

Should have been quicker on the trigger :(

So my hard drive was delivered this morning :D

But wait, there's more ... and this one is a clincher ... they delivered 2 of them ... I only ordered 1 :D :D :D

So effectively, I just bought 2 x 3TB External HDD's at R525 each :D :D :D

For once, I get my own back against Hi-Fi Corp ... this post is dedicated to the dude with the powerplug troubles ;)
