Who found the latency shocking last night? I was getting between 550 - 750 ms which for my connection and my proximtity to the exchange is bad. I have a 4mbps unshaped account.
 
lol, and here I am, happy if my latency is 1000ms. Something is definitely not right
 
were getting 290-460 last night :D Was around 300ms the rest of the weekend creeping to 450ms after 12am.
220ms this morning when I could not sleep and did a number of wsg.
 
Please state if you play US or EU though... US latency is WAY wrong atm
 
3G: 900 - 1500ms

384k ADSL Unshaped through WA: 400 - 750ms

EU oh and I had a buddy re-activate his account again. He is playing on the US servers. There are still quite a number of SA folk who still do play US

What ISP ?

I'd like to see latency stay under 500ms at AH in IF, or in the centre of shatt or SW in peak time.

Located at the moment in Parys (Freestate) Using a 4mb line with WA unshaped prepaid configured to Verizon network.
On Saix I get 450-700ms Lat.
Have to add that I am pretty close to the exchange and that in a small town the network is never that busy. If telkom can get around to finish the fibre network to towns I expect atleast a 50-100ms boost as that seem to be the hop from home-Jhb
 
When connected.... latency weekday daytime 800+ as in maybe 1600 and as high as 3500.

Evenings about 600- 700
Weekends I see yellow at 550+
Iburst , 1.5km from tower - degregation in latencey since mid september
 
avg latency from 7pm during the week is 300ms on eu server
running iburst.
weekends from 7am till monday i avg 450ms
 
Dont take this the wrong way, but I simply do not believe ppl saying they have average 300ms latency.

even before the last patch, on unshaped DSL i would get NO better than 450ms

now its hovers at 600-700
 
some people prefer playing on US servers...and now that Im here there is no way in hell Im starting over:eek:...my latency has been hovering at 600-1200ms since the end of last month...whereas before it was more in the region of 500-800ms...how do I tracert my server?...I got the IP but it starts given stars after the 9th hop :confused: Oh yes Im on 384k shaped
