How about we start printing this mask for our medical staff in our Hospitals. I is re-usable by just cutting up the normal masks into circles that fits the mask. Thus one N95 mask can provide quite a few filters for this mask. The mask comes in different sizes.
It is relatively fast to print. PETG would be preferable because it is flexible and one guy with a small printer can turn out 2 or three of these at least a day. So if every 3D printer turn out 3 at least we can get thousands a day if everybody chimes in. No Supports. I have printed this one in about 3 to 4 hours and I printed on 0.2 mm layer height, 0.3mm may also work and be very fast to print. Unfortunately I could not get the middle part of the mask out to show how easy print this is.
It can only be printed non-commercially so there is no money making, just a huge effort to help South Africa get through this trying times. Even if you just have half a roll of PETG to spare it would be great.
If I get enough guys to take part in this effort I will call someone who can organise it,
