Hidden uunet folder solution

What are some of the targeted folders we can use?
Anything without any funny characters/space/slashes in it should work. It's case sensitive btw. It creates the folder automatically.

I see once you've selected the file to upload it gets automatically uploaded - I didnt get a chance to go back and input a description. Maybe add a submit button once the description and selected file fields have been filled it.
It's that way by design. I figured people would want as few clicks as possible to get it uploaded....might catch out a few people though at first.;)

is it me... or is the tool behaving a little strange?

It is telling me that my browser has a connection open... but I don't even have a browser opened.

and it won't show me what has been uploaded?

I've had this a number of times. You have to restart your computer

At least that's the only way I got it sorted out.

Chances are either the Browser or HXUpload did not close the last connection correctly. I've never seen it, but I'll keep an eye out for it. I'd also Flush the Temp files (press F11) for good measure. That will however mean that the next time you click on downloads it will take a while because it needs to d/l all the index files from scratch.

If I get the time I'll write a version that checks whether the files actually exist cause most of the stuff on the list has been deleted. I've got a busy week ahead of me though so don't hold your breath.

Your download link seems to be broken... Can you put it up again?
The links dies after about 30 days cause uunet deletes everything after a while.

Not at my PC atm, but I'll do so if I remember. If I don't, just PM me.

any progress on this? I mean are you still going to promote it?

I still think it is a great tool! :)

I kinda lost interest after uunet started deleting some of my stuff hours after I had uploaded it. The other problem is that the server handles small-file request very slowly so its not scalable.

And I'm very busy with Uni atm. Priorities....

I'm not working on it actively atm nor am I planning to do so. Sorry.

Thanks.

ok, well I guess it still serves its purpose even if it is just to host a file for somebody on a short term basis. :)
