Hifi corp return policy

I bought some JBL in-ear earphones at Hifi corp for about R200 last Wednesday. So I just took them out of my pocket a few moments ago and when I insert the pin in the earphone jack, my phone doesn't recognise them anymore. When I try it a few times, the phone finally recognizes them but the mic on them doesn't work(which is the whole point why I bought them). Is it possible for Hifi corp to exchange them for me because I clearly didn't break them or cut any of the wires.

If it's within 7 days you might be able to, but you might've broken the cable internally.
 
6 months CPA warranty is still intact, so take it back, they might refund or replace you without asking questions but they might also request to do an assessment to check if you broke it.
