A few things...
First, why not use one of the regular old-school scales with the round dial. That starts and ends at 0, so if the scale reads to 130, just add whatever is over 0 to 130 and voila. I have a friend who's 145 and he can use our scale this way.
Second, why would you really care what you weigh if it's over 150? If you're interested in losing weight, stop fretting about a kilo or two and just focus on the eating plan and exercise. Once you get to below 150, you can start watching the scale again.

Well the scales are only calibrated to work in the range specified, i.e 130kgs or whatnot. If you go over that you probably won't get an accurate reading. Not to mention it might result in permanent damage to the mechanism...
