Me tooI meant this as an extreme case.
But the extreme cases can be avoided before it even becomes an issue

You save your dash cam footage? Why?This is mainly for video footage (damn GoPro and dash cam ....) and images (lots of them).
This is dashcam footage from my bike when I'm travelling - because I take forever to edit, I want a secure place to store the footage. You save your dash cam footage? Why?
I'd love to put a couple 16tb drives in my Synology NAS to store some of my photos.
my Black Friday amazon deals arrived today.
Managed to pick up two seagate expansion 16TB external drives.
was running for about $280 each on BF.
In Rand value with express DHL shipping and import duties it worked out to about R10 500 for the two.

I've just removed the drives from the external enclosures and will be replacing 2 x 4TB drives in my unraid server(currently running 4 x 4TB).
Model numbers for both drives are ST16000NM001G - which is the Seagate EXOS 16TB, 7200 RPM and 256MB cache .
Searched in on Raru and currently the internal drive with that model number is going for R8 121 each.
