High CPU due to kworker

I was troubleshooting and fixed it as follows:

And then the hardware died.
Anyone had the problem as well????

KWorker is many things. Like hardware interrupts, and whatever. If you had a flood of it then hardware died, it could be a bad disk, or something like that. But other things like high disk activity etc could even cause high kworker activity that is not the smoking gun you are looking for.
